The Instituto Navarro de las Artes Audiovisuales y la Cinematografía (INAAC) is a non-profit-making public foundation set up in 2009 to promote the audiovisual sector and filmmaking in Navarra, and the ongoing training of audiovisual professionals in the region.
The first task of the INAAC is the setting up of the Navarra Film Commission, an office that will promote, drive and support the audiovisual sector in Navarra. In the medium term, the INAAC will take on the organisation of the Film Library of Navarra with the aim of recovering, conserving and disseminatiing the filmmaking heritage of Navarra. The INAAC will also support and promote the sector and will create an Audiovisual Laboratory.
The INAAC will also provide consultancy to the Government of Navarra regarding the aid published every year by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Government of Navarra in the audiovisual field.
The Institute sets out to fulfil its objectives gradually, becoming the driver of an ambitious plan that involves a number of wide-ranging initiatives in the cultural area of filmmaking, video, multimedia and image, through strategies of disssemination, training, the promotion of artistic creativity, support for the audiovisual industry, conservation of the region's audiovisual heritage, incentives for research and development programmes, and the general development of the sector.
